Steve Martin is truly an icon of comedy. From his stand-up, his time hosting Saturday Night Live, in films like The Jerk, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, Three Amigos! and planes, trains and drivers, Martin will undoubtedly be remembered as one of the funniest people ever walk this planet. Unfortunately, it often seems like their best moments are behind him (some of his more recent titles are two Pink Panther and cheaper by the dozen two movies), but I will say this: seeing dance with two fingers end of the trailer for Big Year is a big smile on my face. Starring Steve Martin, Jack Black and Owen Wilson, the great year is about three men who decide they need a major change in their lives and make a big decision: for a whole year, they will try to find some of the rarest birds in North America. Based on the book by Mark Obmascik, the project was adapted by Howard Franklin (Quick Change, Antitrust) and directed by David Frankel (Marley & Me, The Devil Wears Prada). The film is ready for publication October 14. Besides the trailer, Apple has also posted the first poster for the film.
